WMP 11 for Windows Vista playback problem
Some things that may help me: 1) How do I know what MPEG2 codec WMP is actually applying ? I have heard that the checkup utility does not actually tell you the codec that WMP will use? 2) If I want to deinstall the codecs from Device Manager/video codecs which codecs does WMP11 and XPSP2 install itself and need ?

I opened Sounds in the Control Panel and changed the default to "Speakers" rather than "Digital Audio Interface". I now hear the audio while playing a DVD movie.

WMP11: Full Screen playback controls

In WMP 11, they play but the video is in red and green hues only. Cannot seem to figure out why playback colors are not correct? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Playback of same .mpg files via Nero is perfect. Playback of other media such as .avi in WMP 11 is perfect. Thank you.

WMP11 video playback on 2005 MCE not working
When I try to play a DVD, the sound stutters (or motorboats) and I notice that it appears as though the system is trying to archive the DVD or write through the hard disk during playback. I've tried to find an indexing program in Windows Processes but no luck. I don't know what to look for to turn off.

losing DVD audio on WMP11 playback
It could be due to one of the codecs but could someone recommend good ones? I have read that I might have reconfigure the cards or that I have corrupted files which will require me to reinstall WMP and rebuild my library. Please point me in the right direction. I dont even know how to do the Last two options.

Skippy Playback after Upgrade WMP 10 to WMP 11
Now, here we are at WMP #11, and I'm beginning to believe it will never happen. I use WMP11 to play my CDs at home, but it's getting old fumbling with cases of CDs, and especially when traveling it'd be nice to be able to leave the excess baggage at home and just have all my music on my laptop.
